For easier access, we recommend going to Sunset Cliff Boulevard. You can then take a walk down the stairway. It will lead you towards crashing waves.
La Jolla Shores
La Jolla Shores is known for its clean ocean water and sand. Locals and visitors go to this beach to surf. Kayak and snorkeling activities are highly popular. Gear rentals are available, and you can even sign up for scuba diving lessons.
There are several dining options. We recommend looking for one of the rooftop bars; you will love the shoreline views.
Coronado Beach
Across the bay from San Diego, Coronado Beach’s clean sands and calm atmosphere make it an ideal destination for families and couples alike. There are smooth waves and fantastic scenery to admire, such as the Hotel del Coronado -a 130-year-old Historic Landmark.
You will also find gorgeous mansions sitting along the beach on Ocean Boulevard. Independence Day celebration is one of the best experiences as you will enjoy fireworks by the bay.
Balboa Park
Located close to downtown San Diego, this 1,200-acre park is the city’s cultural core. Balboa Park is great for picnics, strolls, or a bike ride. Lovely gardens and an astonishing botanical building make it one of the most photographed places in Balboa Park.

The Gaslamp Quarter
