- The artist will take a picture of the current color of your teeth before proceeding.
- Your artist will apply some composition on your lips to avoid any kind of possible unpleasant feelings and help you feel as comfortable as possible during the procedure.
- The gumline would then be protected from further exposure to the solution by a barrier.
- Your artist will only cover the front side of your teeth with a whitening solution. The bleaching agent in the teeth whitening solution is either carbamide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide.
- Curing light is often required to activate the hydrogen peroxide in many whitening products. Depending on the whitening solution, the artist will leave it for about 30 minutes.
- Once the desired teeth shade was achieved, the teeth would be rinsed.
- The artist is ready to take a picture of the after color of your teeth now.
Following completion of the teeth whitening procedure, avoid drinking or eating anything with a lot of pigment (like coffee) for two days.

48 hours after your teeth whitening procedure, avoid eating anything acid-based (soda, pickles, and citrus fruits). Also avoid foods that easily create stains: coffee, tea, red wine, fruit, fruit juices, soy sauce, chocolate, curry powder, etc.

Try to avoid using colored toothpastes, tobacco products and e-cigarettes that could cause stains too.

If you eat something dark-colored, be sure to rinse your mouth out and brush your teeth or chew some sugar-free gum within 20 minutes of finishing your meal.
Teeth stains from the consumption of wine, tea, berries, and tomato sauce are referred to as extrinsic stains. This type of stain can be removed by teeth whitening procedures. Teeth yellowing caused by tobacco tar and nicotine can also be improved with a teeth whitening treatment.
